Over the next two weeks in the Garden Room we are going to be introducing our new story. It’s called Kippers New Pet. It’s about a Pig who really wants a pet, and he’s not sure which pet to get. His friend Kipper reads the invitation and goes to the pet shop. We will be learning new words, such as invitation, pet shop, guinea pig, hamster. Stick insect, rabbit. We are hoping that at the end of the story we are able to go to the pet shop.

We have soil in the tray and diggers for the children to scoop up and move around. We have also put dumpers there, so the children can scoop some soil and put it in the back of the trucks.

In the water tray, we have a tea set, and we have added some teabags, so the children can represent their own experiences from home to making cups of tea. 🫖

In the sand we have added vehicle moulds. The children are going to be able to make aeroplane ✈️ rocket 🚀 or train 🚂 shapes in the sand.

At the end of the week we will be making biscuits. The children will be cutting out egg shapes in the biscuit dough. Ready to decorate before our Easter egg hunt on Tuesday.
