GARDEN ROOM NEWS
18/11/2024 Over the next two weeks in the Garden Room we are introducing a new story called Owl Babies.π¦ This story is about 3 little owls and their mummy. Their mummy goes off to hunt for food and the little owls get very sad and frightened. I will add a link at the end of the post. We have added some enhancements and followed the children’s interests. The children have been interested in feeding the babies so we have added a tin of baby milk, some spoons and some little pots. πΆπΌ We have added 2 castles π° and some dressing up clothes. We are hoping to develop the children’s imaginative skills and to also develop their skills by playing alongside each other. Thank you for all the Autumn bags we have returned. We have been looking at those in our group times, so I have now added them to a tray and the children can explore the leaves, fir cones and sticks. ππ I will add some magnifying glasses for the children to use as well. We are continuing with our routines and the children are really following these, as we are consistent with them. We are also using objects of reference, such as holding up a nappy when it is nappy time, a plate when it is snacktime, a book when it is story time, a star when it is singing time. As these are consistent, the children are really responding to them. Perhaps at home you could start to use some of these, maybe hold up a nappy when it is nappy time, as well as saying the word. Or maybe hold up a plate when it is time to eat. π½οΈ we are hoping to have a wonderful two weeks of learning in the Garden Room. https://youtu.be/74BE3eQl7uQ?feature=shared
